Reducers

Reducers are designed to change a pipe's diameter and are typically concentric or eccentric. 

Stainless Products reducers are manufactured to the precise diameter and wall thickness you need in 316L stainless steel and 32RA polish on both the ID and OD. Other finishes supplied upon request.

Connections available: Butt weld, tri-clamp, bevel seat.

Concentric reducers 

  • Designed to decrease in diameter towards the center, forming a conical cylinder.

  • Often used inline on a vertical flow application or horizontally as an increaser.

  • Not recommended to use horizontally as pooling may occur.

Eccentric reducers 

  • Designed primarily to reduce in a horizontal flow application and to be inserted inline.

  • Because they are flat on one side, there is no risk of pooling.

  • Have a lower chance of producing agitation.
